Kanban apps do not come any slicker than Hubstaff Tasks. This low cost tool provides detailed, day-to-day, workflow management for companies of all sizes. Of course, the tool is largely aimed at customers who already use Hubstaff – a popular time tracking and workflow management solution. By integrating Hubstaff Tasks with Hubstaff, you can streamline your processes via kanban boards, custom labels and several other features.
We were very impressed by the pricing plans at Hubstaff Tasks. A subscription costs just $5 per user per month, although you can save $12 by option for the annual subscription price. Project completion is made easy thanks to Hitask, an advanced team management app that gives you the ability to control all aspects of work projects. Everything revolves around the wonderfully designed Hitask interface, which offers a fully synced overview of all company activity.
A key aspect of the Hitask offering is the integrated calendar option. Whether you are working on Google, Outlook or any other popular calendar, you can integrate your diary on Hitask to allow all users to view your work allocation and upcoming schedule.
Another reason why Hitask excels when it comes to task management is that users can attach files to their work streams – either by using the integration options or simply dragging files from other sites. This all adds to the ‘all in one’ appeal of Hitask and helps make it one of the very best project management tools around.

The adaptability of Airdesk helps make it one of the most attractive shared workspace solutions on the market. The tool can be used by work teams of any size, regardless of whether they are office based or working remotely. Airdesk gives you real time insights and suggestions for improving performance. This makes it perfect for managing client relationships, as well as optimizing the efficiency of your operations.
In terms of the standard features you can expect from a project management tool, Airdesk delivers a user-friendly time tracking tool and instant customer interactions. We especially liked the ‘ticketing’ system that allowed clients to raise issues. Stakeholders could then follow the progress of these tickets all the way through to completion. This may not be one of the most well known management solutions around, but in our opinion, it is one of the best and well worth trying out.

Small and medium sized businesses looking for an easy-to-use project management system, should check out Project.co. We believe it represents an excellent choice for maintaining client relationships and ensuring the smoother running of major projects.
Each company project has its own ‘Hub’, where you can see every aspect of the project’s progress. Time tracking, budgeting, calendars, etc etc, it’s all stored in the Hub, giving users a comprehensive overview of the project.
There’s also a great built-in chat function that means you can contact other project members simply by using the @ button. We would have liked to see a few more integration options, but with prices starting at just $8 per user per month, Project.co represents excellent value for SMEs.

You won’t be surprised to learn that Spreadsheet.com provides a spreadsheet based approach to project management. That being said, there is still a lot to like here regardless of whether or not you are a spreadsheet lover.
The aim of Spreadsheet.com is to make it easy for businesses to work in teams. Each user has the ability to add/remove/adjust tasks, make comments and raise issues. For managers, there are advanced budgeting and resource tools that make project management a straightforward task.
Spreadsheet.com may not have as many features or integrations as some other workflow management solutions, but it does come in at a very reasonable $7 per user per month. Plus there is a free version that gives you access to a good number of the features. If you work in the charity sector or for a not-for-profit business, then we think Spreadsheet.com has an awful lot to offer.

Client communications are made easy by Ahsuite, a cutting edge software tool with a simple, yet user friendly, design. Rarely have we seen a client comms tool with such a clean interface, even the most technophobic users will have no problems at all in getting to grips with Ahsuite.
In terms of specific features, Ahsuite is designed to allow users to share videos, PDFs, reports, slide shows and other documents. This is done by embedding the file in an iframe, and sharing it via a client portal, a process which takes just a few seconds.
However, our favourite aspect of Ahsuite is that it comes with an extensive suite of tools that act as replacements for the likes of Trello and LastPass. So instead of having your work spread across a multitude of applications, Ahsuite will act as the single point of contact for every part of your daily work.
